Step 1. Sign in to the Azure portal via https://portal.azure.com.
Step 2. Click on + Create a resource icon on the home page.

Step 3. Search for the virtual machine and click on Create. Then click on Virtual Machine to open the ‘Create a virtual machine’ page.

Step 4. Under Project details, select the relevant subscription and the Resource group.
Under Instance details, provide a name for the virtual machine. Then select the Region, Availability options, Security type, and Image as ‘Windows Server 2022 Datacenter: Azure Edition – x64 Gen2’, and the VM architecture as x64.

Step 5. Under the Administrator account, provide a username and a password.

Step 6. Under Inbound port rules, select Allow selected ports for Public inbound ports, then select RDP (3389). Then click on Review + Create.
